Campaigns

Send broadcast WhatsApp messages to your contacts, groups, or tags — with scheduling and delivery tracking.

Overview

Campaigns let you message many contacts at once. Access via Campaigns in the sidebar (/campaigns). Each campaign creates individual recipient records and tracks send status per contact.

Template requirement For contacts outside the 24-hour messaging window, campaigns must use an approved WhatsApp template. Sync templates from Meta first.

Create a campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns → Create

Enter campaign name and choose message type (text or template).

  2. Write message

For text: write your message body. Use placeholders like {name} for personalization.

  3. Select audience

Pick all contacts, groups, tags, or a filter.

  4. Schedule or send now

Leave schedule empty for immediate send, or set a future date/time.

  5. Launch

Review recipient count and confirm. Campaign status changes to processing.

Scheduling & processing

Scheduled campaigns start automatically when the scheduled time arrives. Processing requires cron to be configured (see Installation → Cron jobs).

Campaign statuses:

  • draft — Created but not started
  • scheduled — Waiting for scheduled time
  • processing — Sending to recipients
  • completed — All recipients processed
  • cancelled — Stopped by user

Delivery tracking

Each recipient has a status: pending, sent, delivered, read, or failed. Status updates come from WhatsApp webhook delivery receipts. View campaign details to see per-recipient status and counts.

Limits & opt-out

  • Each sent message counts toward your plan's message limit
  • Contacts marked opted out are excluded from campaigns
  • Respect WhatsApp's messaging policies — only message contacts who opted in
  • Large campaigns are processed in batches via queue/cron to avoid rate limits
Campaigns not sending? Check cron is running and your subscription is active. See Troubleshooting.
